  • In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the annual Falls Fireworks Series, Niagara Parks has announced its expanded 2018 Falls Fireworks schedule, with a total of 111 displays, including daily shows throughout the summer.
  • The new Wayne Gretzky Estates Winery & Distillery in the heart of Niagara-on-the-Lake is now open! The 23,000 square foot facility is the first of its kind in the region, featuring both wine and distilling production.
  • Niagara Falls lights up at night three times brighter than at any time in history. The Falls are impressive at night with intense colour washes. The $4-million investment is a sustainable solution in that the new lights also use 60 per cent less energy.
  • Niagara Falls’ Queen Victoria park is slated for a major upgrade through a 10-year Concept Master Plan, which will give a new identity to the scenic green space straddling the U.S.-Canadian border.
  • The city has voted to allow a new hotel development, $600-million project to move ahead. Canadian Niagara Hotels plans to build a three-hotel complex: two rising 38 storeys and a third reaching 56 storeys.
